European and transparent AI
OCR and language processing are handled by Mistral AI, a French company. Your documents are never used to train models. Patrivox's AI systematically cites its sources: each response links to the exact document and page.
Your documents belong to you
Patrivox never exploits, resells, or reuses your content. You can export all your data at any time: original documents, extracted text, and metadata. No vendor lock-in.
Complete and verifiable deletion
When you delete a document or your project, Patrivox automatically purges all copies: stored files, extracted text, search indexes, and AI vectors. No orphaned data remains in our systems.
Strict isolation between organizations
Each institution has a completely isolated space. Documents, search indexes, and conversations from one organization are never accessible to another, including at the technical infrastructure level.
Encryption and access control
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest. Access is protected by secure authentication, role control (administrators and readers), and rate limiting. Every significant action is logged in an audit trail.
Unlimited readers on all plans
The mission of heritage institutions is to make archives accessible. Patrivox supports this: the number of readers is unlimited on all plans, including the free one. Your researchers, students, and citizens can browse freely, without creating an account.
GDPR compliance by design
Patrivox is designed from the ground up for GDPR: data minimization, contractual legal basis, effective right to erasure, exclusive European hosting. No non-European subcontractor is involved in processing your data.
Continuous monitoring and responsive support

Its founder, an administrator of the Royal Society of History and Archaeology of Tournai, built the platform to solve the challenges he faced daily: rich archives that were difficult to consult, digitized documents that were impossible to search.
